This bespoke 8-meter-diameter paper tree was created for Montblanc’s Milan Showroom in June 2026 to celebrate the presentation of the Spring/Summer 2027 Leather Collection during Milan Men’s Fashion Week at Salone dei Tessuti. The installation also marked a special milestone—the 100th anniversary of Montblanc leather goods.
Designed as an immersive centerpiece, the tree’s trunk is entirely woven in genuine Montblanc leather in a unique way, showcasing the craftsmanship and heritage of the Maison. Hidden throughout the installation are whimsical creatures inspired by the iconic shape of Montblanc’s writing instrument nibs, adding a playful layer of discovery.
The canopy is composed of hundreds of handwritten letters, envelopes, and stationery elements, while the books nestled within the branches feature vintage Montblanc leather advertisements, celebrating a century of leather craftsmanship through storytelling and paper art.
From concept development and engineering to handcrafted production and installation, this project demonstrates how paper, leather, and storytelling can come together to create a memorable brand experience.
